Was super heat switch stock on 71' A6?

I have a totally stock 71' Cheyenne Super with a 350 SB. A friend and I recently did a complete A/C overhaul which included replacing my A/C compressor. He swore that the stock compressor came with a super heat switch that had one flat blade connection. The compressor we took off didn't, which wasn't the original one, but we put the switch on the new one. I didn't think they did, but took his word for it

My question is, would my compressor have had a super heat switch when new? And if it did, what connection ran to it? I have 2 wires that were tied off when I got the truck, one I think ran to the TCS sensor in the tranny, which I can't find. And the other to the temperature switch for the TCS system on the passenger side of the block, which I can't find either. He swears that the switch I think goes to the TCS sensor goes to the super heat switch.

Everything works fine, but I want everything hooked up correct as it was when stock. I guess my 1 question is 3. Would my truck have had the super heat switch, TCS sensor in the TH350, and the 2nd temperature sending switch in the passenger side head for the TCS when new? Again, everthing is stock and I would like to keep it stock. The factory service manual isn't helping much either.

Anyhelp is appreciated. Thanks!
