Almost ready to give up!!!!! Help!!!

As I mentioned in my earlier post I rounded out the plug in the head for the temp sensor. Like an idiot I drilled a hole in the plug and tried to use an extractor to get it out. Could not get it to budge. I brought the welder home tonight thinking I could weld up the hole in the plug and things would be good to go. I can not get the plug to quit leaking. I dont want to damage my head but I don't know what other options there are. It would be wonderful to be able do the repair with the head still on but I think that isnt going to happen. I guess my only real option is pulling the head and taking it to the machine shop. Anyone have any advice?????
Thanks
Jeremy
