Steering Column Question

I scored a complete steering column from a buddy for my 76 K5 for 25 bucks today.

It has all the wiring and the fuseblock attached.

My column wires were cute above the column plug by the previous owner.

My question is the column has a whole in the plastic cover right below the ignition switch. Can I put the one off my column (its not broken) onto the new column I have. Other than that small whole everything is there and in perfec t shape. The fuse block and everything will be spliced in the right way. God knows why the previous owner cut the wires but he did. I have them spliced together but its an absolute mess under my dash. With this new column and all the wireing intact it should be as easy as bolt it in and solice her in.

Right???
