Hi from the new guy

Hi everyone,
Just saying hello from Ventura, CA. I've got a '71 GMC long bed with 350 and auto. Nothing special; yet.
Right now it's just ugly enough to keep the Volvo's and BMW's away. They're probably afraid of getting hit by a flying chunk of rust and that rear bumper is big enough to deter the tailgaters. It's kind of nice on the freeway; people seem to see my beast in the rear view mirror and get out of the way, they think the brakes have failed.
Plans are for a mostly stock looking exterior and a 327, haven't decided on a tranny yet.
The 327 I bought a few months ago turns to have a 302 crank in it so I'm still deciding to continue with that or keep looking, even though a cross-ram under the hood would look nice.
