impala rear disc???

I know this topic has been around awhile but I got my brackets and finally got to the install and here is an issue that I ran into. I tried this on 2 rearends with the same problem. One is a 1971 12 bolt and one is a 1972 12 bolt. I also slid out the axles on and old rear end to try different axles but with the same results. I finally took the brackets off because I dont see how they will work. I know some hjave installed these calipers and are using them when I put the impala rotors on they run into the bracket before they sit flush on the axle face. It's obvious after looking at this all weekend the problem is in the axles not far enough out from the 4 hole flange The one axle I tried this on is a complete factory setup with no modifications done to it. Any thoughts??? Or does anyone have the measurement like in the picture to see if that is the problem. Thanks
