Does a 2wd wood bed fit on a 4 X 4 steel bed frame???

I have placed a small deposit to purchase a decent used complete wood bed for $300. It is from a 2 wheel drive longbed. It seems to be missing a cross sill or two just between the wheel housings, but otherwise is in good shape. There is a 2' span between cross sills in this area, but all the other cross sill spans are more like 1 foot or so. It would not be good if the missing cross sill means it was a converted steel bed or something, and also the wood is rotted and will need to be replaced. I very much wish I had a camera with me, but I didn't.

The big question is that I'm planning on installing it on my 4 X 4 longbed. My current bed is 100% shot to H---. Will this be a simple bolt on experience, or will I have to change many other parts. I am hoping it's just a simple 8 bolts off, 8 bolts back on swap. oh, both are off 1971 chevy's.

Has anyone done this and is this a good deal for a relatively (much better than what I've got) straight bed? Thanks in advance for any tips or suggestions.
