What did your truck cost & When did you buy it & Where?
In a recent thread the question was asked, "are these truck prices going up or down?" So I though it might be interesting to ask about your present truck whether it's a driver, in process of being fixed up, or sitting with the intention of being restored some day. The questions are:
1) When did you purchase your truck and purchase cost? 2) Where did you find your truck? 3) Year, model, and factory options on your truck? 4) How did you find your truck? 5) Condition of your truck (1-10). 1) Summer of 2001 $2700 It was in running condition but needed help. 2) Celina Tn. 3) 1970 CST 2x4 LWB...ac, buckets, tinted windows, 400 automatic, 402 BB, power steering, gage package w/tach, & Jr. west coast mirrors.. I have added a factory tilt, am/fm radio and soon a factory slider. 4) I found my truck through the Truck Trader. I was actually looking for a 48-54 Chevy 1/2 ton when I found my truck. I had been reading about the 67-72 Chevy trucks so I had a little knowledge about these trucks. I was the first to call about this truck and Mike (seller) said after I purchased the truck that he had over a dozen calls that first afternoon. 5) I would rate my truck about a 6. It needs a total restoration both in body and mechanics as this is an original truck that has not been fixed up. It has the usual rust in the bed but the cab and other areas are real good. Since it was from the south it didn't have all the rust issues we get from northern trucks due to salt.
