Makin' too many volts?????

What could be causing me to make too many volts? At ilde I'm fine, around 12 volts, but at speed it pegs the volt meter out. The voltage regulator is just a few months old and my "GENERATOR" light does not come on like it did when the old reg had gone out before.

Its too many volts for the radio too, it will only come on when the RPMs go back down and the volt meter reads 12v.

HELP!!!!
