Changing 4x4 Blazer to 2x4......what do you recomend?

I have a 1972 Blazer that is in good running condition but needs a good bit of work otherwise. I have not decided 100% if I am going to do a small lift and some 35's or turn it into a topless slammed driver for my daughter.

I know the wheell base is different (shorter) than the trucks of that vintage. I have several rolling 2x4 frames so the components will not be a problem.

What is the easiest, quickest or BEST way to turn this thing into a 2 wheel drive?

Thanks
