Re: BG Demon Carbs are WORTHLESS!!!

I had a 650 Mighty Demon on my 413sbc, had absolutely no issues besides swapping out jets. My second Mighty Demon (750cfm) was nothing but issues, it ran inconsistantly & leaked, I tried all new gaskets, seals, etc. on it and couldnt get it to work right, I sent it back to BG for them to fix and all they did was put new gaskets in it and send it back, and it did the same thing. Luckily I still had my 650 and the metering blocks and bowls where the same, I swapped out the suspected parts and it purrs like a kitten now, unfortunately another individual bought the 650 and has had the same issues I was originally having before swapping out the parts. I like the carbs but I don't think I will be buying anything from BG any more. There Quality has gone down hill dramatically over the past few years, I have heard of broken needle seats right out of the box, Speed Demons that had machine shavings in them seemed to be a very common issue. I am not real fond of Holley but at least they're carburators don't seem to have those issues. I have also talked with BG's tech support and have gotten a hold of some real idiots that don't have a clue.
