A couple clutch questions...

I put my clutch pedal back together today and I decided (well actually it was too much of a pain in the ass) to not put that big, gigantic, unwilling spring back on the pedal under the dash. It feels ten times better. It doesn't seem like there will be any affect from doing it but what do you guys think?

Also I was trying to remember if I put a pilot bushing on the crank when I put the motor in and I can't seem to remember. Does anyone know if the 260 hp GM crate motors already have them placed in there or will any damage occur from not having it. I would think that it wouldn't do anything to not have it since some people cut off the front of the transmissions main shaft when doing oddball engine swaps but i'd like some feedback anyways.
