Saginaw 4spd guys - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have always been an automatic trans guy. (I do/have owned manuals but they didn't have any wires hooked to em!)
Anyone know which switch is for the backup circuit on a Saginaw 4speed like this? < The one towards the front of the trans or the Rear>?

I know that one is neutral safety switch but which one. I surfed the heck out of the wb but am coming up with nothing? I ahve also tried to test with a multimeter but? No workie? Maybe the switch is bad?
