Results at the drag strip

I took my 70 1/2 ton to the track saturday night, and made one run down the 1/8 mile strip. I have very little experience at this. Short story shorter, I spun in first gear, spun in second gear and got sideways and then regained control when I hit third and ran a whopping 9.33 at 70mph. What a blast!
I plan on working to get that time down. I really need some tires. My big block has lots of torque. I'm looking for advice any and all.
