Crystal City MO - n00b
Hello all.
I'm from Crystal City MO (about 30 minutes south of St. Louis). I'm an engineer for a large 'adult beverage' company in St. Louis. Anyway I bought a '68 C10 about 3 years ago when my oldest son turned 13 (4 kids, 19, 16, 15, oops 7, and 1 lovely wife) my sons and I have been doing bodywork and tuning the engine off and on ever since. No better way to spend time with your kids than wrenching and elbow greasing on an old classic car/truck, not only are they learning what will (most likely) turn into a life long passion, but I learn so much about them also. We are buillding a 350 4 bolt main for it right now that I anticipate to drop in the truck in about a month. Right now it has an inline 250 MerCruiser engine which is probably the most reliable sturdiest engine I have ever owned. My 16 yr old started driving in November and has been using the truck for daily driving to school and practices, which scares the crap out of me, but he loves the truck and it makes things easier on his mother and me also. Sorry for the long post, I can't wait to check out the whole site. Everything I have seen/read has been great > this site rocks! Look forward to learning and hopefully maybe sharing experiences/knowledge. Larry |
