305-E V6 value
I have an excellent running 305-E with the Stromberg 2bbl in my '67 GMC that will be removed soon. I've already been asked about it, so I am trying to determine a value. My feeling is that it had a valve job or possibly a complete rebuild when the truck was restored in 2003, though I haven't found the reciepts yet to verify it. It doesn't smoke, even on startup but it does use or "leak" oil. Mostly from the rear of the valve covers I think. It makes wonderful torque and gets excellent fuel economy...over 20mpg I'm guessing. It has the original 3 speed but my guess is those are worth $50 or so.
What would be the value of a complete, excellent running 305-E?
