Help with wheels and lowering truck

First off, I'm new and just bought a pretty rare truck. I got a 71 Cheyenne big block 396, factory tach and factory black. I am wanting to do either 18" front and 20" rear or just 20" wheels. Can someone tell me what the widest wheel and backspacing and tire size for the rear and the front?

I plan to lower the truck 4"-6". Also, whats the best way to lower the truck without spending the family savings?
