Speedometer??

I am planning on putting a 350 Vortec with a 4L80e transmission in my '67. Do I have any choices besides using a digital dash for the instrument hookup?
The engine and transmission came complete with all accessories and computer. I have seen people convert the mechanical output from the transmission to a digital but not the other way around.
Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
