Finally got my truck on the road! pics!
Well I finally took my truck out on its maiden voyage. I've wanted to drive this truck since I was a little kid and I finally got to drive it! For those of you who don't know the story behind the truck, click here- http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=226340 I didn't have any problems with it other than it was running pretty rich. I had also never driven a big block before- wow. It makes my LS1 6-speed Camaro seem slow. The manual steering and brakes took a little getting used to, but I'm fine with them now. I had to fabricate my own big block clutch linkage (pictured below) since I was unable to locate one. Now I just have some minor tuning and major traction issues to contend with. The truck will eventually get painted dark grey and have a bright red interior, and maybe get lowered a little more. It will stay in it's current state for a while since I'm out of money and I'm headed for UTI Nascar school in August. For now I just want to enjoy driving it and work on areas that require time and elbow grease instead of money. Thanks for looking. This is the best website in existence! -Russ
