Frame mounted gas tank problems

Hello All,

I have recently added a rear frame mounted poly gas tank to my 68 chevy short wide. I ran in to some issues while placing the bed back on the truck. The bed of the truck won't fit all the way forward due to hitting the back of the gas tank.
It seems to me the tank is mounted to high or I need to modify one of the cross brases on the bed. I've attached some pics to better show what I'm talking about

Thanks
68 short wide 406cid
