STAINLESS ARM PICS, FINALLY!
These pictures are beautiful examples of how bad my photography skills are....
The black lines on the arm are there to help show what I mentioned earlier about how and where the arm widens in a gentle curve on each side for 24", and then maintains its width all the way to the rear. The holes may be milled today, and the front bushing is ready to install once the front 3" or so of the arm is tapered down and curved for clearance on the mount. The rear end adjustment will be from the oval inserts discussed earlier. This arm took less material, and only 9 pieces compared to the way-too-many-piece steel one, and is a solid 50% stronger. The curved sides, multi-internal box construction (near honeycombed) and being welded inside and out made this thing stupidly strong. The streaks and smudges are just from the light, I guess. I gave the thing a hasty brushed finish, but the camera didn't seem to care I'll try for some better pics...
