Drilling my 6 lug axles
I want to convert my 1966 C10 to five lug for better wheel selection. It has a nice 12 bolt rear in it and I'd like to keep it rather than swap the whole rearend. I have seen the conversion axles at CPP but have heard it isn't that tough to get my existing axles drilled to work.
My question is this: For anyone who has done it, how much did it cost at a machine shop? Also, would I then have 11 holes in my axles? It might still be better than $300. Thanks. |
