swinging turn signal?

Hey guys, I'm usually on the 67-72 part of the sight but I found somthing on an old stub nose, 1-1/2, 2 ton, type truck burried in the woods today and I saw what looked to be a mannually operated turn signal light mounted to the back of the cab just to the top and back of the drivers window. It is about a foot long and long cone shaped. It has a lens inside this cone shaped housing and it hinges up and down (swings out I guess for a left turn and hangs down for a right turn, like you would work your arm) with a rope that I guess was pulled from the cab.
Any body seen these before? It looks like it's in pretty good shape, best thing on the truck.
Is it worth pulling off? If nothing it would be kind of nice to hang in the shop.
If need be I'll get a picture early next week.

Thanks
