58 Apache Project

Even though I am not complete on the 54 yet (getting closer) I had this 58 fall into my lap recently and it was too good to pass up. The only problem was it came to me without any axles, suspension or wheels. It did come with a Fatman IFS but I think I will use that on my big window 59 and put a camaro subframe, ala No Limit Engineering method, on the 58 but the first order of business was to get a rear axle on the truck.
I located a 1970 Camaro 10 bolt on Craigslist and some task force rear springs from another local trucker. Coupled with a new set of spring perches my son and I bolted everything up this weekend. The frame will need to be C notched to provide additional travel but for now it fine as is.
Is this how others have set up their task force truck rear leaf suspensions? I heard about lowering shackles but have not seen any.

Here are some pics of the rear axle installation:

I hope to get the sub-frame installed soon and will add pics from that also.
