changing steering stop
How much should I cut off?
Got my '85 spindles on the 70, and like I read on here, the steering stop won't let it turn all the way. I haven't attached the tie-rods yet. I plan on cutting the stops down. There is about an inch difference from the tie-rod and its location on the spindle. I would think you would want the spindle to stop before the steering box stops turning. Any suggestions before I start cutting would be helpful.
