Occasional no start.

Occasionally my truck refuses to start. I've narrowed it down to no spark sometimes(It's getting fuel and the starter is engaging the flywheel). Last thing I did today was take the #1 wire and put a nail to the dist. I saw a spark and it started. Put it back on and no problems. Could I need new spark plug wires to solve this issue?
