Question 350/TH350 motor mounts fit, tranny x-member doesn't?

Today, after some major fernaggling (sp?), I was able to get the motor mounts lined up and bolted in.

Ran into a problem on the other end though. Now the transmission crossmember (CPP aftermarket piece) doesn't line up with any of the factory holes in the frame.

Now I know I can just drill new holes to make it work, but it boggles my mind that this 350/th350 combo won't line up right. Do you see anything that looks "off"? All the bolts are still loose on the motor mounts, so I've got plenty of play.

Any and all advice is appreciated!

Just don't make fun of my peach transmission.
