Anyone think I have a shot?

The guys at Honeywell (where my dad works) have a Quarter Mile Club...the '03 annual get-together is coming up relatively soon (Feb-Mar as usual). Anyway...while I've been wanting to go at it for a while, my dad just recently let the two people in the club that I've been aiming for know that I'm coming after them. (Aside from a 500hp Lightning, they're running the only other two reasonably quick trucks in the club.) Anyway...from the club spreadsheet:

1981 Bronco 4x4, 400 C.I. engine, 4635lb as-ran, 15.02 @ 91.05mph. Calculated 305hp. Holds title of "Fastest 4x4". (they sort by trap speed.)
1984 Chevrolet Pickup, 400 C.I. engine, 4840lb as-ran, 15.32 @ 90.73mph. Calculated 315hp. Fastest ride in the "Fun To Drive" class (>83 to <91mph).

I thnk I might have a shot at getting up there...seeing as the heaviest my truck has been in the quarter is a whole 4200lbs. I won't take away any titles (my truck is a 2WD, and the 500hp Lightning is cutting 13.2's at 105.5, so he's got Fastest Pickup Truck locked up) but I'd like to jump into the "Street Respect" class (>91mph to <99mph) and leapfrog those two guys. They've had a little rivalry going for the past two years, and the guy with the Bronco has a score to settle with my family anyway (my dad won the bracket racing event a few years back in his '94 Z28 when the Bronco redlighted against him in the finals). Anyway, right now I'm pushing about 250hp...but my 15.9's at 85ish are coming with the 1-2 shift happening about 1000RPM too soon. By the time I run against these guys, I'll have that cleared up, and judging by the powerband, that could be good for a really nice improvement...and if Santa is good, I'll have headers and a new exhaust too.

For the record, if I can get the MPH over 92.75, I'll get ahead of the "Fastest Front Wheel Drive" (an '88 CRX Si)...the fastest Mercedes is that cop-magnet racecar of my dad's, running 15.6's at 88.9...the fastest bone stock car is a new Z06...the fastest street car is still a Chevy (a '79 'Vette with nitrous and about 665hp)...the twin-turbo Mustang I keep posting the link to in turbo threads is cutting 12.14s at 121.56 on 215-section Radial T/As and no rollcage...I'm already ahead of the fastest second-gen Corvette (!) which has a rather anemic 327, running 15.54's at 83.80, and just ahead of a '70 Bronco with a Ford crate 302...

And for anyone who likes BIG trucks, there's a 1999 Freightliner FL60 in there. 21.50 at 64.26mph.

Aaaaanyway...right now I've got the original bottom end, Vortec heads, Comp Cams 260H, Edelbrock Performer Vortec intake, Edelbrock #1901, HEI, a 700R4 with a decent shift kit, and a 3.73 open rear. Headers and shifter fixing are all that are planned in the near future, though I could possibly see a cam swap to the XE256H...
