random clinking under the hood
just the other day. i noticed that there was a clinking coming form the engine compartment. it sounded like the fan was hitting something or like if you put a hand full of pennies in a dryer. i popped the hood and everything was in order. no loose bolts on the pullies and nothing touching the fan. the clinking happens about one fourth of the time that i start it up and it only happens on start up and lasts till i get to my destination (locally). it also only happens under accleoration. could it be a bad water pump or altenator? what do yall think?
