Question Anyone ever installed NV4500 in a 67-72

Another thought I had was, can you install a NV4500 5 speed in a 67-72 4x4? I have seen the NV4500 mated to an NP 205 before so that is not the problem, but what about where the shifter would come through the floor? Will it work in this cab year? And if it did you would then go to the hydraulic clutch system, big improvement, plus extra mileage. Just dont know if it is feasible!? Any thoughts?
