The next LFD How-To!
Just a teaser for now but I will find the pics I took last month and do a full write up.
Here's the thing, I like the look of the 70 grill and you really do not see many left as a 69 or 70 when they are done. But then my wife really like's the lines of the 67-68 but "Slow Build" has already been converted to a 68 and I don't want them all to look the same so this was the middle ground! It only took about 8-10 hours to do the chop & swap and I sure like the way it looks. I will get more pics of it installed on the truck as this one it was just sitting on their until I have an hour or two to get it primmed and all lined up before the surface rust sets in. I had a bad hood that came on my 70 2WD Blazer (over 1/4" of bondo all over) but the very front lip was good. Then I bought a 68 hoon off a board member but it had been hit a bit in the front hood line. So by using the two of them for one it let me get inside the front of the 68 and work out the damage and get rid of the bad part (like 90% of it) of the 70's hood. And now I have a good hood for the 70 Blazer for now So is this write up wanted by others or should I just do a quick over view? I will start a new post when I have time to sit down and find all the pics and do a detailed write up. Kevin LFD Inc. |
