How Low can I go...

I should know this already but mainly want to get your knowledge passed to me.

1980 GMC Stepside. I want to know how much I can safely cut the front coils and front bump stops before it starts riding like a goat wagon. I was given some shackles for the rear a while back (they are now installed) and just want to set the front down about the same amount. 2inches.
Thanks in advance for any help...
