Tailgate lubrication
I am just painting up the handle and hardware for my tailgate tonight and I hope to install it tomorrow.
Did the trunions and/or the tailgate spring latches have oil/grease/graphite on them? I live in a sandy area and I am concerned that any lubrication will just attract sand/dust/dirt. Any experience or thoughts on the concept?
