Poll: Should I do it?
I'm sick of looking at my rusty K20. While I have collected a nice cab, box, doors, fenders... everything sheetmetal needed to get it into shape, I don't have a garage to do it in. Bare metal & bodywork isn't very easily done outside. And I don't have a welder or compressor. I would love to run out & buy both, but storing them in my muddy wet storage shed isn't something I'm willing to do. I bought this C20 with this in mind, or possibly for my son's daily driver. But, after looking over the lousy cab structure (or lack theirof), and finding out that it will soon need a valve job (2 exhaust valves are starting to sink) I can't see spending the money on it for a daily driver. 2 winters and the cab would be trash. If I use the body on the K20, it won't see a few thousand miles a year, and no winter driving. I plan on welding in cab supports & sealing everything up as best I can. The doors still close good, so nothing has settled- yet.
