Newly validated member
Hi all, My name is Bob, I'm 47 yrs old and from the Rochester, NY area. I'm really glad to just get validated today and this is my first post! My reason for joining: I'm the proud new owner of a 1970 Chevy CST-10 longbox pickup w/ 350 auto. An E-gag purchase....Really got "caught up" in this one.....and even had my wife pushing me to hit that "bid now" button. (She really likes the orange color) Pretty typical huh? I always tease her about that....Anyway....I won the bidding and after a beautiful trip up north to the U.P. of Michigan to inspect the truck and then......after a lot of frustrating work to get her shipped home, the old Chevy truck safely arrived home on Thursday, May 24. I've already been working some bugs out of her (something the seller was supposed to do) because the truck just had a frame off restoration. I actually was able to do a search here this past Saturday night and found a schematic that someone else had posted a while back. They/it helped me to figure out how to fix the Battery Gauge wiring! So thank you already!! I've always loved Chevy trucks...and I've previously owned a 69 Chevy 6 cyl. w/ 3 on the tree, a 69 GMC w/ 350 auto, an 85 w/ 305 auto and most recently a 96 GMC w/ a 6 cyl. vortec auto. I thought I'd do the cycle and get back to where I started! I'm glad to be here...
A few photos of her.... Thanks for looking and I'm looking forward to many years of fun here on the 1947-Present Chevy & GMC Message board. God bless, Bob |
