Instrument Cluster Replacement

I've decided to replace my instrument cluster with
a custom setup. The tach, oil, temp and ammeter guages
are available at a number of parts houses. I'm fabricating
my own instrument panel.

My problem is the speedo and the fuel guage. I'm told
that Autometer makes a speedo but I've never seen it
in any of the local parts houses. I also don't know if its
electrical or mechanical. I'd like to stick with a mechanical
speedo since the cable is already there. I'm stumped on the
fuel guage. Is that impossible to do...or is there an aftermarket
fuel guage available? And would that require changing the
fuel sending unit?

Anybody with any experience doing this?
