71 suburban, drums to disks

Hi, First let me introduce myself. I'm Arnold and I'm from the Netherlands.
I have a 38 Chevy pickup as a project(see it here http://home.planet.nl/~sanders-nijholt/mainengels.html ). As a daily I drive a 96 GMC c 1500 pickup, And I just bought a 71 c10 1/2 ton suburban to make a daily driver out of it so I can sell the GMC. That thing is costing way to much road tax.

Now I have a few questions.
First, How long is the sub and how wide, and how much does it way. It has a 350 with a manual 3 box.

Second, it has drum brakes at the front which I want to change to disks. What parts do I need to change. I can make my own brackets if needed. But from which type I would need the disks and calipers, and do I need different spindles?

Thanks
Arnold
