71 blazer-4wd to 2wd

Starting a new project, looking for some help from those who may have done this before. We have a 71 blazer (pretty sure it's a 71) 4x4, which has the transfer case and transmission out of it, and are looking to convert it to 2wd when we put it back together.
Wondering about which parts are interchangeable from other year blazers and/or pickups, especially truck arms and front control arms,tie-rods, etc. I know someone has done this before, and appreciate any thoughts and help you can offer.
Also, if anyone knows of any links where this information may be, we would really appreciate that-thanks.
