Starter solenoid

Any tips on how to get to the starter solenoid without taking the exhaust pipe and starter out first? I have a '72 Chevy C20 Super Cheyenne. It looks like I have to get through those before I can switch out the solenoid, but I figured someone might have done it an easier way -- or with a special go-go-gadget solenoid-removing tool or whatever.

Thanks. I really don't want to have to remove all that just to switch out the solenoid!
