68 C10 Stepside

Here are some pictures of my 68 C10 Stepside with a long bed. I was not very good taking pictures during the restoration process, lot's of little detail pictures I used to reassemble but no overall pics! I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out, let me know what you think!

Wheels are 20" American Racing "Chrome Crush" with 265's that give me the same 31" height of the original wheels on the truck, I had to use a spacer on the rear tires to avoid rub, not too happy about that but had to make it work.

The color is a 2003/2004 Chevy Avalanche color that my daughter picked out.

Sorry, the only pre restoration pictures are actual prints and I'm not that adept at scanning them in.

I bought the truck back in 2003 and the body was in pretty good shape overall but it was a mess mechanically. It had an old oil blowing 327 which wasn't the original so I dropped in a crate 350, I rebuilt the trans completely and I did the new wood floor in the box with oak. Last April I pulled it apart to start the paint process (it was a bad paint job of a medium Ford blue), the paint guy had it from April 16th until November 2 and I have been putting it back together since then as weather in Michigan allowed.

The wheels and interior were the last things completed. Right now I am still messing with the new instrument cluster, I upgraded from an idiot light dash to a gage package one, they don't sell idiot light replacement dash or bezels for the 67 -68 with a choke so I moved up. I am having a tough time with the gas gauge and the battery indicator.

Glad to hear everyone likes how it looks!
