hello all

well as you can see im new here..ill make this as short as possible, but heres my story..this wednesday my best friend passed away only 44 years old.well anyway he had a 1969 chevy swb stepside cst model and always talked about restoring it. im in new jersey but the truck came from nevada 9 years ago and was taken off the rode around 4 years ago..all in all its in good shape. rockers need replacement, drivers side cab corner and floor has some rot..it has a small block 400 that ran like a champ(and still should) bed is pretty solid but needs new wood..i asked his father about the truck today and told him i wanted to restore it in bobs memory(will airbrush bobs name on glove compartment)and also get personalized tags that spell 4bob or something like that..his father said he liked the idea and gave me the truck.i picked it up tonight and will start going over it tomorrow morning..starting with a power washer to get all the grime off of it from sitting..just thought i would tell my story and let all the members here know you will be see alot of posts by me during the project..
