You've got to be kidding me!

So the V8 engine swap in the white truck is coming up on being four years old. I took her in to the shop this past Monday because I noticed a puddle of coolant on the garage floor and was unable to find the leak. We still have not found the coolant leak, but did find a couple of other interesting things while it was up on the lift. First off, noticed that the seal at the timing chain cover was leaking oil. I personally found this odd, seeing as how I had a mere 3200 miles on the engine. It seems that seals become hard and brittle from lack of use! Who knew? The other thing that I saw, that I thought was odd, was a few dents and scratches to the painted oil pan. The reason I found this odd is because the headers hang down about three to four inches below the oil pan. I guess I will write this off as debris in the road.

I guess I will have to drive the old truck a little more often!
