Engine dating
I am just wondering how I can tell what year my engine was built. It's a 350 in a 71 chevy truck that I just bought for parts...and for the engine. It would have been great if it was original but unfortunately the truck was an original six cylinder.
I looked at the forward portion of the right cylinder head on the block where the number is, from my knowlege, typically located on our era motors. What else can I look for? Thanks in advance. Also once I get a number where can i decode it? Last edited by ArmyVette; 07-17-2007 at 10:05 PM. |
