can this be done?

my question to you knowledgeable guys is,

i need to wire a internal regulated alternator up, but don't want to cut my wires at the connection into the external regulator!

i know you have to connect the outside wire together, (blue to Brown)
and cap the white and orange wires.

can you do it this way instead???

connect a jumper from the 2 outside wires? and just leave the 2 indside ones, or run a jumper off them and cap?

then finished it off as did the guy on www.chevelles.com!
