Front Window Trim SUCKS!
Looking at some previous posts, it seems like this is somewhat of a common problem (getting front window in with stainless trim).
After trying myself, I decided to call a "professional". He was going to charge $85 to come out and install the glass with trim and claimed he's done many...NO PROBLEM....I thought it was a little spendy, but I was tired of dicking with it! What I ended up with from the "professional" is an installed window with just the top piece of stainless installed. He seems to think I may have the wrong pieces, but the trim has the shallow flange (mine"s a 72) and I'm not sure how to ident the rubber, but I figure if the top trim is in and staying it should be correct. The stuff is new and from the Truck & Car Shop and I rechecked the part numbers. The window guy claimed he has installed the trim after the window was installed on other trucks, so I figure I will dick with it some more. The good news is he didn't charge me anything. QUESTION: has anyone else had any success with trim installation after window is already installed? ...or will I have to visit 3 or 4 more "professionals" before I find the right guy that can do the job?
