Idea for a theft deturent system

classicchev and I were discussing different ways of starting a 67-72 w/o having to turn the key all the way to the start position,

What we came up with for my trucks bezel with the provision for a choke is to mount a windshield washer switch in the "choke" hole.

So the process for starting the truck would be:

1) turn the key to the "on" position

2) push the windshield washer switch "In" (the one in the choke hole in the bezel) as if you were to operate the washer pump. And have this wired to the starter to "start" the truck

So you would still have a key for security and a "pushbutton" starter.

Any thoughts?? Maybe we're not as smart as we think we are??
