New Jimmy owner
Hey guys, Im happy to say that after a little time spent on the Suburban forum I am now going to add the Blazer/Jimmy forum to my frequent visit list.
A couple weeks ago a friend of my brother in law saw me at the local ice cream stand and told me a guy he worked with is selling a 72 Jimmy. I went to give it a quick once over and was a little surprised by what I saw. First let me say that the small block had hung a rod through the oil pan ,so it's not running and the paint is pretty shabby. Thats the bad. The good though is the body. It looks to be in excellent shape which is hard to come by in this area. The owner said that it came from Cali. All the suspension has been redone (4x4) and the auto tranny has been rebuilt. I have also been told that a soft top is included with the jimmy. I have a 454 in the shop to install so maybe I can have this thing moving under its own power soon. I will have to post pictures later when I get it to the house. I think I did o.k. on the price. The guy wanted 3k and I got him down to 2500. I'm excited to soon be driving topless. Aaron
