Re: Bad Motor, what are my options

The last rblt long block I bought was 5 yrs ago and 80,000 miles. It cost half of what a crate motor would have cost me. I have never heard of the HV oil pumps/water pumps being a bad idea. If they are..I know now. If I had the cash to buy a 300 hp crate motor, I'd jump on it as well. My last long block cost me $545.00, then again I get a discount because I buy through the compamy I work for. With any motor I think break in will determine the longeviety of the engine.
