rear lugs when running rear discs ....

what are you guys running for rear lug BOLTS after you install rear disc brakes?

i am finding that the additional approx 1/4" thickness of the rotor takes up valuable thread and that even with a steel rally wheel, the lug nuts will only spin on about 2-3 threads ... not even allowing the end of the lug bolt to sit flush with the face of the lug nut.

i have searched and searched for longer lugs (locally and on the 'Net) and can find STOCK thread and shoulder dia lug bolts... I can find LONGER lugs, but not with the same size shoulder that passes thru the axle flange. I would like to have something at least 3/4" longer, but can't find them in stock size threads or shoulders. Advice?

I have even had the thought of removing the axles, drilling and tapping the axle flange and then using Grade 5 bolts with Loc Tite as lugs ...

any advice on where to find "stock" style lugs but longer?

pros and cons on using Grade 5 bolts?

What are all the guys running rear discs using?
