Help with door poppers

I am looking to keep the manual inside the door handles yet still use the door poppers for my shaved doors. (don't want to fill the inside chrome door panels) The problem is pulling straight out @ the door latch. So I am looking for a NLT 1" pulley I can mount on the door that can run a 1/16" cable 90 degree lower in the door. Figured I could connect the cable to the rod that goes to the inside door release. Or some other ideas as to what folks have used. Pic's would help. Any ideas?
