Burb A/C effectivness

O.K.... Any of you burban guys added Air to your trucks?

The wife insists that I add air to my Jimmy. However,Im not sure any of the aftermarket units will do the job. My 69 shortbed truck had factory air; and on a hot day (say 100F outside) it barely did the job (and thats being generous).
I figure if you burban guys have installed A/C and it is effective in your rides, it will work for me in the Jimmy. I know the factory units for burbans had a rear auxillary unit, but the aftermarket doesnt offer that. I was kind of leaning towards Old Air because the fan units are seperate between air and heat.
Whats your opinions/experience?
TIA, Tom
